Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)
What is ADAS?
Newer UK vehicles are commonly fitted with a range of advanced driver assistance systems, known as ADAS, which offer advanced capabilities to support driver awareness.
These advanced capabilities support control systems such as braking and steering. This makes ADAS essential to the correct and timely operation of the supported systems.
The features of ADAS functions use sensors that continuously and accurately monitor the road environment in which the vehicle is operating. As these sensors are safety-critical, they require periodic calibration, repair, or replacement.
